4mm Hook for Cushion or Blanket options
4.5mm Hook for Jumper option
Scissors
NOTE: If you are going to be buying new yarn for this project and are making the blanket you will need 2 balls of Black yarn and, 9 Balls of yarn in mixed colours.

The next instalment of the Quarantine CAL builds on the Granny Square techniques used in the last 2 parts to create a Half N Half graphic granny design! You can follow the video below to help you through the process.

TENSION
If making the blanket or cushion and using DK and a 4mm hook you want a 4 Round Granny Square to equal 10cm X 10 cm .
Top Tip: If you are making for a garment size up a hook size to get a looser drape, using a 4.5mm hook you want a 4 Round Granny Square to equal 12cm X 12cm.
KEY: UK Pattern
CH = Chain
Sp = Space
St = Stitch
SS = Slip Stitch
DC = Double Crochet
TR= Treble

You will want 2 colours for this block and the motif is made in 2 Parts.
Part 1- working Colour A
Part 2- working Colour B.
MAKE 4 in different colour ways for Blanket
MAKE 1 for Cushion
MAKE 2 for Jumper
FINAL MEASUREMENTS: - If working in a different yarn weight for blanket ignore measurements
Blanket/ Cushion 4mm hook= 19cm
Jumper 4.5mm hook= 23cm
PART 1- SIDE 1
Foundation: Using colour A make 5ch, ss into first ch to make a loop.
Row1: (4CH (counts as a TR and 1CH throughout), (3TR, 2CH, 3TR, 1CH, 1TR) into loop, turn.
Row 2: 4CH, 3TR into first gap, (3TR, 2CH, 3TR) into next gap (corner sp), 3TR into next gap, 1CH, 1TR in third of beg 4CH, turn.
Row 3: 4CH, 3TR into each gap to corner sp, (3TR, 2CH, 3TR) into corner sp, 3TR into each gap to end, 1CH, 1TR into third of beg 4CH, turn.
Repeat row 3 five more times. Fasten off. (8 x 3TR groups each side)
PART 2- SIDE 2
Row 1: Join colour B into Side 1 central loop, CH3, DC anchor to left in Side 1 CH Sp, turn, (1CH, 3TR, 2CH, 3TR) into loop, 1CH, 1DC into the CH sp of side 1/row 1.
Row 2: 2CH, DC into top of TR of next row of side 1, turn, 3TR into first gap, (3TR, 2CH, 3TR) into corner sp, 3TR into next gap, 1CH, 1TR into top of DC join below, 1DC into the CH sp of side 1/row 2.
Row 3: 2CH, DC into top of TR of next row of side 1, turn, 3TR into each gap until corner, (3TR, 2CH, 3TR) into corner sp, 3TR into each gap until end, 1CH, 1TR into top of DC join below, 1DC into the CH sp of side 1/row 3.
Repeat Row 3, 5 more times. Fasten off. (8 x 3tr groups each side)
